Wrist pain/carpal tunnel syndrome
Carpal tunnel syndrome has many causes. The wrist is made up of eight bones called the carpal bones and with ligaments these bones form a tunnel that allows blood vessels and nerves to pass through. Sometimes this tunnel can be narrowed which traps the nerves and results in a tingling feeling, pins and needles and/or numbness into the thumb, fore and middle finger. A shake of the hand often relieves this.
Research has shown that 80% of carpal tunnel can be cured with specific chiropractic adjustments, without the need for surgical treatment. Chiropractic treatment can also successfully treat such conditions as arthritis, tendon and muscular pain.
